Join Chris Shepherd on his incredible Chef Led Tour to his favorite Vietnamese spots in Houston. on Sunday, June 14th from 11am-3pm. These restaurants—and the many other Vietnamese restaurants throughout Houston—inspired his recent trip to Vietnam (learn more here), which only escalated his love for the cuisine. Hear stories from his trip, meet the owners of the restaurants and enjoy eating through Houston with one of the city’s biggest cheerleaders.
The exact details & restaurant destinations will be kept secret until you arrive. Please arrive at Central Market's parking lot (close to Well Fargo) to board the bus by 10:45. You will be given an agenda/tour list then as well as a swag bag filled with awesome H-Town goodies from the Greater Houston Convention & Visitor's Bureau & tour theme swag from our sponsor Central Market. We welcome you to stop in before or after to grab a coffee or wine. We will provide water & beer will be available from our sponsor Saint Arnold's Brewery. What is your cancellation policy? Once purchased, tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be rescheduled, as they guarantee your spot on the tour.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash? Tickets must be purchased in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. Tickets can only be purchased online at www.thehoustonwave.eventbrite.com Cash is not accepted.
Will I be contacted prior to the tour with details? Yes. Upon purchase we will send you an email providing the confirmation of purchase, meeting location, and other Food Tour details.
What if I have dietary restrictions? Please let us know if you or anyone in your party has a dietary restriction when you purchase your tickets. We will work to accommodate your special food needs whenever possible.
Are there special rates for seniors or children? Currently we do not have discounted tickets.
Can children come on the tour? All participants on the tour must be at least 21 years of age.
How much food is served on the tour? There are 3-4 stops for tastings on the tour. We encourage attendees to pace themselves. The food is so good, it is very easy to fill up at the first or second stop.
Are there kosher options on the tour? Unfortunately, we do not offer kosher foods on this particular tour.
What beverages are served on the tour? We provide water and Saint Arnold beer on the bus. Beverages will also be provided at each tour stop. If you'd like to bring your own beverages for the bus, you are welcome to do so.
Can I take pictures or video on the tour? Yes! We encourage pictures. We will also be taking pictures & will upload them to https://www.facebook.com/VisitHoustonTexas/photos_stream. You will just click to find your tour by Name & Date. (ie:June 14, 2015 Chris Shepherd-Vietnamese)
